Know your electronic music ? – Win a cd in our competition

We’d normally be testing your knowledge of electronic music but here’s a challenge that’s slightly different. All we are asking for is a recommendation of an artist or album that we haven’t heard of that will blow us away. The music suggestion that moves us the most wins the cd. Simple.

It is probably worth your while looking over the artists already covered in the artists A-Z and the genre sections, just to give you an idea of the types of electronica that we’re into.

I’m sure you’re asking yourself what’s the cd that’s up for grabs? Well, it’s a rare double Japanese cd by Drum and bass producer T.Power. This double album titled ‘The self evident truth of an intuitive mind + chronology is from 1995 but don’t let that put you off, this music is totally ahead of its time. Released in the same year as ‘Timeless’ by Goldie and ‘Black Secret Technology’ by A guy called Gerald but maybe it didn’t receive the same press. It's deep melodic drum and bass and the album that got me into drum and bass. Contains samples from the films Blade Runner and Star Wars for you sci fi fans out there.

We’ll announce the closing date of the competition in due course as it all really depends on what suggestions you guys come up with. The cd will be posted by recorded delivery. Good luck!
